update

Hi everyone. Well we made it to Colorado if you didn't hear yet. We've been here about 2 1/2 weeks or so. We're having a blast! We're staying at Gus' Aunt Cara and Uncle Blaine's house, in the driveway. It's been great hanging out, again with family we haven't seen for 5 years! They have another guy named John who has been living there as well, in their little cabin next to the garage. The front yard has pretty much become our version of a KOA. For those of you who don't know, the KOA stands for Kampgrounds Of America. We've got some picnic tables, a propane stove, a toaster oven, Christmas lights, and this really great fireplace! All their friends stop by and hang out. It makes it hard to get anything done. We've traveled around a little to get used to the surrounding areas. The main reason I haven't been able to post anything is that their house is on a mountain, and Verizon doesn't have signal at their house. I know, we've been pretty bummed out about it. We tried to work something out with Verizon to possibly get a booster or something to help us get signal, but nothing has worked out yet. Gus is researching other kinds of boosters to see if something will work before we take drastic measures. Hopefully it won't come to that. We do have service if we go a mile up to the top of the mountain known as Mount Falcon Park. There we have full service. Also when we're driving into the more populated areas that aren't in the mountains. We got a Post Office Box at the local Post Office for the next six months so we are available to receive mail. The address is P.O. Box 417, Indian Hills, CO 80454-0417. I'm at the library right now on one of their computers so sorry for no pictures. I will try my best to post some pictures in the next few days. We applied for jobs at our favorite ski slope, Loveland, which is about 45 minutes away from the house. We called to see if there was any word about a job, and found out they don't really start their hiring until October. We would only have to work 8 hours a week to get a free season pass, plus the added benefits of free comp tickets for friends as well as free tickets for other ski slopes. We're hoping it works out but if it doesn't we'll just buy passes. Our priority out here is to have a great time, and snowboard as much as we can, not to work. That's why we busted our butts for 6 years to save money for our trip. It seems like we could earn a little money from Aunt Cara and Uncle Blaine's friends, doing some odds and ends. Well got to go for now. Hope you all are doing great! We miss you all so much.

  2. See you maybe before you read this!!! Still not sure exactly which day I'll be rolling in. My sis wants me to drive by her house in Denver to see how it's doing so depending on my drive up from New Mexico will determine if I go before I see you... unless you want to take a ride with me. Probably nothing too exciting unless there was somewhere in the city you wanted to check out. Yippee!!! Next week!!! xo
