The huge arch is called Landscape Arch. It was my favorite of all. We had to hike 3 miles there and back, and worth every second. It was beautiful! In the 1990's, a man from Colorado was looking at the Landscape Arch, and a huge chuck had fallen out of the arch and came crashing to the ground. He took a picture of the piece falling, and his picture is now on display. It was also said that one time, a small plane had been driven under the arch. The thickest part of landscape arch, was a section 6 feet in diameter!
WOW! I just saw this...if you look at your top picture it looks just like an old man's profile looking up at the sky! How Cool! His chin and nose and even his eye...:)
We are a happily married couple since January 26th, 2002. We've had this dream now of living in an RV and traveling the US of A in search of new sites and experiences. Also we didn't want to have a job or obligation making us come back from our vacation! So we worked a lot, and saved some money for the past 6 years. Then we bought an RV moved out of the place we were living, and moved into the driveway at Gus' parents house. It's been a good 5 months in the driveway. Five months? Wow I didn't realize it's been that long till now! We're ready to leave and wanted to have this blog to keep everyone up to date on our adventure! We love Shorty's!
