We were hanging outside the other day and all of these mule deer mamas and their bambis were crossing through the yard. Just taking their time and munchin away. They are in the rut season right now, so you don't want to go messin with the mamas when their bambis are around. A few of them kept staring at me while I was taking their pictures. One of Blaine and Cara's friends Tom, lives on a bunch of acres not far from them on private land. He's a hunter as well and when the season opens and the elk and deer come through the yard, he calls up Blaine and Cara and says "the girls are in the yard!' That usually means they'll need to go over and help him with processing the meat.
