Our first stop is Shamokin, Pennsylvania to visit our friends: Jewel, and her two amazing daughters, Aurora, and Willow. We arrived on monday night around 11:00pm. When we pulled in on their road, there was a tree that had fallen across. I thought maybe we might have to sleep right there on the road. Gus however, checked it out. We couldn't move it off the road by pushing it, so he got out his freshly sharpened ax, (good thing), and chopped it in the middle till we could twist it apart. Then there was enough room for us to cross! Then we ended up passing there house. It's kind of on a mountain, and we couldn't back up with the jeep attached so we had to circle the block, which was about 15-20 minutes till we got back. Then Jewel was outside to meet us and got us parked! Thank goodness! we were pretty tired. Wednesday, we went to a farmers market in Lewisburg to set up to sell! Jewel set up her jewelry, and I set up my tie-dye, and headbands. I sold 4 headbands which is awesome! Jewel did pretty well also. We've just been hanging out since then. I was making some more head bands today, while Gus was enteraining the girls. They were having fun on their new tire swing! Well, I got to get a start on dinner. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some pictures to post.

Sounds like you are off to a good start. Love your pics...keep em coming. The driveway at your Mom & Dad's sure looks empty...your Dad picked up their camper yesterday, guess it looked too empty for them too. Thanks for your update, I've been thinking about you. Have to get to bed, thankful everything is going great....have fun. Luv ya, Aunt Sam
ReplyDeleteI get an image of Gus as a lumberjack swinging that axe! Yes the driveway is so empty and lonely without you guys there! We sat down to dinner the other night, nobody was home next door and Alicia and I were both like, "It's really quiet, like eerily quiet!" Glad your off to a good start, can't wait to read more and see more pics!
