more photos from Glacier

We left the park yesterday around noon, we stopped at Two Medicine on the way back around the park.  That was the first part of the park before the rest of it became a national park. On the way in we saw a grizzly bear of the road in a meadow by a stream.  He was pretty far and my camera lens can't zoom in too far.  We went on a short nature trail to see the Running Eagle Falls.  Very beautiful.  There is story behind it's name.  The area is sacred to the Blackfeet people.  Named for a woman warrior respected for her great skill in battle.  The falls area is one of the sites known to be used by Running Eagle (Pitamakan)  for her vision quests.  Just as Running Eagle came here for guidance and strength, people today are renewed by the beauty of the falls.  Then we left and we drove a few hours around the park and back to Kalispell to stay at Wal-mart for the night.

  1. I clicked on the picture of the falls. Does the water come right out of the rock there? The rock itself looks like an ancient tree trunk. How cool! I would love to vision quest there. WOW! Don't think I'd actually be brave enough to do it but the idea of spending a few days there alone thrills me! I also clicked on the bear pic. Could see him a little closer. Funny seeing electric lines running above his head..:) Glad you had all this beauty spilling out of you for your night at the Walmart. I'm sure you are raising the vibration of all the people you meet just through chance encounters. Keep on shining! xo
