We were hoping to find a festival after leaving Glacier, but were unable to find one, so we decided to wait until one found us. Today one did. We were on our way to Olympic National Park, and as we were driving through, we passed by a farm with tents and people, and good smells. The smell turned out to be lavender. It's the 13th annual Sequim Lavender Festival. It takes place in Sequim, Washington, also known as the Lavender capital of North America. There are 8 different farms, each having crafters, and live music, and you get to tour the farms/fields. As far as the town they are excited to host this every year, and you can see it by the lavender plants that are everywhere throughout the town. Downtown is awesome full of little shops, and great local vibes, and restaurants. The main event besides the farms, is the street fair, located in the center of town and takes up two whole blocks. Lots of crafters, food vendors, music, and everything you can imagine in Lavender! I had lavender lemonade! So good. The festival is all weekend long. We lucked out by finding it today. We made it to two different farms today, Sunshine Herb & Lavender Farm, and then to Purple Haze Lavender Farm. At Purple Haze we caught the end of the last musician's set, Geoffrey Castle playing the electric violin! Man he was jamming. Gus said, "He was electrifying." We look forward to seeing him play the rest of the weekend. We ate dinner at the highway 101 diner. Pretty cool setup inside. Very 50's inspired. Sorry for the lack of pictures lately, we'll try to work on that tomorrow. Of course I do have quit a stack of Glacier pictures left. I'm sure I could dig a few out for you.

I didn't realize the first picture had that amazing big horned sheep in it till I clicked for a close-up! Awesome! It's a real honor to see one in the wild especially up close. You have been blessed...in many ways...truly...:) And I continue to be blessed by your friendship. Love you both. xo
