The next day we went to the beach in the morning for the ranger lead beach walk. Actually it turned out to be a more laid back kind of explore the beach and ask the ranger any questions you might have kind of thing. There was only a few people out at the beach at that time. We asked the ranger some questions we were wondering, such as how come there is so much driftwood on the beach and were does it come from? She told us that it just gets washed up on the beach from storms, and big surfs, and it can come from all over including the east coast! We also learned you can have fires on the beach! It was kind of miserable looking, real cloudy like it was going to rain. The rest of the day we mailed some postcards and hung out at the camper to do some chores. We played dominoes which we really got hooked on. I'm in the lead, kickin Gus' but pretty good. The next day was when we went to Hole in the Wall. It's a hole in a huge rock on the beach and all around that area around 2:00pm it's low tide and you can see all kinds of creatures. We saw a bunch of Ochre sea stars, anemonies, a little crab, barnacles, and mussels. It was so much fun!

You just keep blowing me away with all the pictures of these amazing places you find! LOVE the hole in the rock! When I clicked on the sea stack one, I saw the people down at the bottom. That rock must be 100 ft tall at least! Is that a big bird on the shorter point to the left? Love the sea creatures....water so clean and they are so colorful...nice.
