OK we left off at Sol Duc hot springs resort. We spent one night there dispite all of there technical difficulties we were able to get charged and got out of there. We continued on our way around the peninsula to Mora camp ground witch is located in Olympic National Park. Our camp site was perfect. Well shaded and close but not to close to the bathrooms. When we arrived at the site we were greeted by a cool little squirrel. Since this is a recap I'll tell you that we spent 7days and 6 nights here. On our first day of arrival we got our campsite set up then left to go to the beach. It turned out that our campsite was literally a mile away from the Pacific ocean. We got to the beach just in time to enjoy our very first west coast ocean front sunset. Man that was awesome! After the sun set the sky turned into a mosaic of oranges, blues, reds and yellows. We were in such an awe that we sat on a log for a good hour or so just watching it change with every new wave that crashed. To see the sea stacks just sporadically placed in the sea as if with no purpose really creates a scene. So after taking in all of that we decided to head back to Ike to site and enjoy the one thing we really love the most. Yep a fire! It is going to fell so weird to land back in reality and not have one. So mom and popper we might have to make a fire ring in the driveway for July. Well that was day one in Mora and here are some pics to go along with it.

Yeah, sea stacks...I forgot what those things were called. They are like little worlds all of their own. You can imagine a whole other life up there. I wonder if people ever climb up them... That would be something.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your little squirrel buddy! How cute is that?
