So we made it into California on the 10
th about 6 or 7 pm. As we entered the border we were
directed into a mandatory check point of the California dept. of agriculture. There they were looking for a
particular moth called the gypsy moth. It is found primarily on the east coast. They lay there eggs in sacks in dark places out of sight. They (
CDA) have found that the gypsy moth (eggs) likes to hitch hike on
rv, cars,
ect. So since we are from Pa we were a perfect
candidate. So we had our first road side check very fun. Oh also they took
certain produce products. Such as HEATHERS CHERRIES. She was not happy. Well after all that excitement we drove about 30 miles or so until we hit our campground. Patrick creek campground. This campground is a branch of the Redwood National and State Parks. Here are couple of pics from the campground. The
caterpillar was under the
picnic table I thought it was
pretty cool looking.

Wow...the Redwoods. I was hoping to see them myself this year. Tell them I'll see them someday soon. But I'm making out even better cause I'll be seeing YOU guys soon!!! Can't get any better than that...:) Too bad you guys aren't here today cause I'm finally getting to Shorty's. Can you believe this is only the second time since you've left? I've been jonezin so when my friend from Colorado who's out here visiting family, wanted to meet for b-fast there was NO question where! I'll be thinking of you ever single delicious bite. Yumm...:) xoxoxox
